Marriott has opened the second German hotel under its Moxy lifestyle brand, located in the Eschborn suburb of Frankfurt.

Moxy Frankfurt Eschborn features 176 rooms, all with sound-reducing walls, 42-inch LCD TVs, free wifi, deep-seated armchairs, and a floor-to-ceiling art piece.

Other facilities include a gym with the brand’s signature pink punching bag, the Living Room with “abundant power and USB oultets”, and “furiously fast and free wifi”, a 24-hour self-service F&B concept, and a meeting room with a table that doubles as a shuffleboard.

The town of Eschborn is located around 15 minutes north west of Frankfurt, and is home to several government offices and companies including Deutsche Bank, Siemens and Vodafone.

Marriott debuted the Moxy brand in Milan in September 2014, and has since opened properties in locations including Tempe (Phoenix) and Munich airport.

A third German hotel will open in Berlin Ostbahnhof later this year, along with Moxy Aberdeen Airport. Further ahead properties are scheduled to open in London, Frankfurt airport, Oslo and Vienna in 2017.

Business Traveller reviewed the Moxy Milan Malpensa Airport in early 2015.
