Budget chain Tune Hotels is to open its second London property on January 4, a 183-room hotel located on Folgate Street close to Liverpool Street station.
The hotel is housed in the former offices of First City Insurance Brokers, opposite Dennis Severs’ House and within walking distance of both Liverpool Street station and Spitalfields market.
The property includes 100 double rooms and 11 twins with windows, a further 52 double rooms and seven twins without windows, and 13 accessible rooms.
A subsidiary of the Tune Group, which also operates low-cost airline Air Asia, Tune Hotels follows a low-cost model similar to Easyhotel, with amenities such as luggage storage, in-room safe, towels, toiletries, TV and wifi all charged as extras.
Tune Hotel Liverpool Street, London will be the second property by the brand in London, following the opening of Tune Hotel Westminster last summer (see online news August 25, 2010).
