Budget chain Tune Hotels is set to open properties in Paddington and King’s Cross this summer, joining existing hotels in Westminster and Liverpool Street.
The group’s UK Facebook page confirms that its Paddington property is currently scheduled to open at the end of June, with bookings set to open in March.
According to Queensway - a UK-based private investment group which back in 2010 signed a strategic partnership agreement with Tune Hotels to open 15 properties in Greater London by 2017 – the converted 134-room Paddington hotel will be located on Praed Street close to Edgware Road and the Hilton London Metropole.
Meanwhile work continues on a Tune Hotels property on the corner of Grays Inn Road and Swinton Street, south of King’s Cross St Pancras station. Located next to the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, the hotel is scheduled to open in July.
Tune Hotels currently operates two London properties – a 79-room hotel opposite Lambeth North tube station which opened in 2010 (see online news August 25, 2010), and a 183-room property close to Liverpool Street station which opened earlier this year (see online news October 11, 2011).
