Korean Air will commence A380 flights between New York JFK and Seoul from tomorrow (August 9), joining Emirates, Air France and Lufthansa in offering superjumbo services to the Big Apple.
The carrier will operate its A380 on flight KE082 departing JFK at 1400, landing in Seoul at 1720 the following day, with New York-bound leg KE081 leaving South Korea at 1100, arriving at 1155.
Korean Air became the sixth carrier to take delivery of the superjumbo in May (see online news May 24), with onboard features including the Celestial Bar for business and first class passengers, and a Duty Free Showcase on the lower deck.
Emirates, Air France and Lufthansa currently offer A380 services to New York, although Korean Air will be the first to operate scheduled services with the superjumbo across the Pacific to the Big Apple.
