Boeing has now completed all flight tests required for type certification of the B787-8 Dreamliner with Rolls-Royce engines, bringing the aircraft one step closer to its long-awaited launch.
The manufacturer released a video showing highlights of the testing programme, with Boeing scheduled to deliver its first Dreamliner aircraft to launch customer ANA in Septenber.
Scott Fancher, vice president and general manager of the 787 programme, said that Boeing was"very pleased with the performance of the airplane during the Function & Reliability and Extended Operations testing over the last month".
Flight testing continues for Dreamliner aircraft fitted with GE engines, and for Boeing test points not related to certification.
ANA recently released images of the first Dreamliner aircraft with a special launch livery leaving the paintshop, and Business Traveller has also obtained a seatplan of the carrier's launch aircraft.
