Etihad Airways has opened its refurbished Terminal 1 Premium Lounge at Abu Dhabi International airport.
The 24-hour facility is now 1,044 sqm in size and can accommodate 134 guests.
It has a dedicated dining area with both "restaurant-style dining" and a buffet, "state-of-the-art" business amenities, free wifi, USB power outlets, showers, the Six Senses Spa with a complimentary 15-minute session, and a playroom for children.
The lounge is open to Etihad first and business class passengers, qualifying Platinum Etihad Guest members and the equivalent tier loyalty programme members of the Gulf carrier's partner airlines flying from Abu Dhabi.
Shane O'Hare, Etihad's senior vice president of marketing, said: "Our guests travelling from and transiting through Abu Dhabi Terminal 3, and now Terminal 1, will start their journey with a superior lounge experience in a stylish and well-equipped environment where they can relax and recharge."
Last year, Etihad has opened its Arrivals Lounge at Abu Dhabi International (see news, September 2014).
