Delta begins daily direct Hong Kong service

Delta Air Lines yesterday launched a daily nonstop service between Seattle and Hong Kong.

The US carrier is operating the route using a 234-seat A330-200 aircraft in a three-class configuration with 34 fully-flat seats in Business Elite, 32 seats in Economy Comfort and 168 in Economy. To view a seatplan, click here.

Outbound flight DL139 departs Seattle Tacoma International Airport at 1330 and lands at Hong Kong International Airport at 1845 local time the following day.

Return service DL138 leaves Hong Kong at 1000 and arrives in Seattle at 0755 local time the same day.

Mike Medeiros, Delta's vice president - Seattle, said: "With the addition of the Hong Kong flight, Delta now offers our customers more than 2,500 daily seats to the top business markets in Asia and Europe from our Seattle hub.

"As we continue growing in the community, we remain committed to consistently providing the award-winning experience that we're known for both in the U.S. and around the globe."

Earlier this month, Delta began a daily nonstop service to from Seattle to Seoul (see news, June 3).
