Marriott has recently opened three properties in Shanghai. Fairfield by Marriott Shanghai Jing’an is located in the Jing’an District of Shanghai, close to the commercial and business hub of the city. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, and around one-hour from Shanghai Pudong International Airport.
The hotel features a spacious and modern lobby flooded with natural light. All 195 guestrooms are equipped with LED TVs, wifi, ergonomic chairs, multiple power outlets and a curved mobile working desk.
There is a self-service “24/7 Market” for easy meals on-the-go, 24-hour gym and 116 sqm multi-functional meeting space.
The premium Delta Hotels by Marriott Shanghai Baoshan has a striking Georgian-inspired façade. It is situated close to downtown Shanghai in the city’s waterfront Baoshan District, at the mouth of the Huangpu River. The hotel is a five-minute drive from the Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal and a 45-minute drive from Hongqiao and Pudong airports.
The hotel features 339 high-ceilinged guestrooms and suites. Each of them features a 55-inch flatscreen LCD TV, air purifier, capsule coffee machine and premium bath amenities.
Dining options range from casual American style at the Lotus All Day Dining Restaurant to grilled steaks at The Kitchen, and fine dining at TRU Chinese restaurant specialising in Cantonese cuisine. Lobby Lounge provides baked pastries and refreshing drinks all day, while the DWB bar offers signature Delta Hotels cocktails. It also houses a pillarless Grand Ballroom, equipped with audiovisual equipment for corporate events, meetings and other occasions.
Courtyard Shanghai Changfeng Park is located in the Regency Plaza and close to the Changfeng Visual arts Gallery. It takes about an hour to drive from Pudong Airport and about 30 minutes from Hongqiao Airport.
It provides 222 guestrooms with built-in LED TVs, plush seating and a large desk. The fitness centre offers ellipticals, treadmills and recumbent bikes with touchscreens. For F&B options, The Lounge serves snacks, premium teas and cocktails. The Pavilion offers international and local cuisine served in a dining room. with nine private rooms available.
The hotel has 743 sqm event space including a ballroom that can be divided into two sections and six breakout rooms.
Bulgari Hotel Shanghai is scheduled to open this year. It will stand on the riverside – a few minutes from the Bund, but still overlooking the Pudong skyline. Its 82 rooms and suites are located on the eight upper floors of the forty-storey-building which is also home to The Bulgari Residences. Facilities in the hotel include a 2,000 sqm Bulgari Spa and fitness centre, as well as meeting facilities. There will be a rooftop Italian restaurant and bar, 480 sqm Bulgari Ballroom and a Chinese fine-dining restaurant.
Amara Signature Shanghai will soon open in the historical Changshou Road commercial zone, adjacent to 100AM Shanghai (a 10,500sqm mixed-use complex comprising an office tower and retail/dining mall).
It is a few minutes’ walk from metro lines 13 and 7, a 10-minute drive from the business and shopping district of Jing’an, a 30-minute drive from Hongqiao Airport or a 50-minute drive from Pudong Airport.
The property will comprise 343 spacious rooms and suites between the 7th and 30th floors, with each room featuring floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city. Room sizes range from 32 to 149 sqm, and each room has classic interiors, plush bedding, modern bath furnishings, complimentary wifi and a 43-inch flat-screen TV with satellite channels.
Food and beverage options include BLU, an all-day dining restaurant offering a la carte and buffet selections featuring Singaporean, Japanese, Western and local Chinese cuisines; lobby bar FLO serving fine wines, refreshments and music; and, the boutique in the lobby Grab N Go serves healthy options focusing on organic and locally-grown ingredients, as well as souvenirs.
There will be a 1,100 sqm Grand Ballroom along with 10 multipurpose function rooms for events and conferences of all scales and 200 parking spaces available in the basement.
Bellagio Shanghai by MGM is also opening this year. It is the first Bellagio Hotel in China and the second in the world succeeding its sister hotel, Bellagio Las Vegas.
It is situated near the Bund and close to the Shanghai Bund International Tower. It offers 165 guestrooms including 25 suites, featuring walk-in closets, marble bathrooms, in-room espresso machines, 55-inch LED TVs and wifi.
For F&B, Lago will be directed by award-winning chef Julian Serrano, bringing his Italian restaurant Lago and a casual dining experience from Las Vegas to Shanghai; Mansion on One will serve Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine; Café Bellagio will offer an American dining experience for breakfast, lunch and dinner; and the Lounge serves afternoon tea, small plates and cocktails.
Other facilities include five multifunctional meeting rooms, a ballroom, Zen Spa, indoor swimming pool, 24-hour gym and over 2,000 sqm of retail outlets in “Shopping Square”.
A combined Hyatt Place Shanghai New Hongqiao and Hyatt House Shanghai New Hongqiao opened in Shanghai Hongqiao’s Central Business District at the end of last year. Both properties are a few minutes’ drive away from the National Exhibition & Convention Centre and Hongqiao Transportation Hub, which connects Hongqiao International Airport and the city’s high-speed and inter-city railways, Metro system and public bus network.
Hyatt Place Shanghai New Hongqiao has 194 guestrooms featuring Hyatt Grand Bed, Cozy Corner with sofa or sofa-sleeper and 49-inch flat-screen HDTV. The Gallery Kitchen breakfast offers an array of free hot and cold, local and international morning choices, including eggs, meat, congee, dim sum, cereal, bread, fruit, fresh juices, tea and coffee; 24-hour Gallery menu and market with prepared sandwiches and salads; Coffee to Cocktails Bar features all kinds of coffee to premium beers, wines and cocktails. There are also meeting spaces and a 24-hour gym offering cardio equipment with LCD touchscreens and free earbuds.
Hyatt House Shanghai New Hongqiao has 101 apartment-style Kitchen Suites, equipped with kitchens and complimentary skin and hair care amenities from KenetMD. The Commons offers a communal comfy lounge while the Outdoor Commons includes a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, outdoor fire pit and BBQ.
The property serves complimentary breakfast with a full hot breakfast served daily, in addition to vegetarian and gluten-free options.
