Korean Air is adjusting select mileage accrual rates for members of its Skypass frequent-flyer programme when they travel on flights with Air France, KLM and China Eastern Airlines.
The adjustments will begin towards the end of October and beginning of November this year, and will be based on boarding date.
Changes differ across each airline, with some likely to be welcomed by Skypass members and others less so.
Miles accrual for China Eastern flights, for instance, will see Q (business) fare class tickets go from no accrual to 130 per cent accrual, starting October 29 (this also includes Shanghai Airlines flights).
Also getting a bump are P and F economy fare tickets on KLM flights, which will go from zero to 75 per cent accrual rate starting November 1.
However, accrual rates on U (economy) fare class tickets on both Air France and KLM flights will be slashed, going from 100 per cent to 75 per cent accrual, also starting November 1.
These adjustments are applicable to all routes operated by the respective airline, with all other fare classes remaining the same (see miles accrual tables below for each airline after the changes kick in).
