The eight lavishly designed suites, spanning 78 sqm, provide a perfect sanctuary for couples, families, or small groups, featuring an inviting bathtub, lake-view bathrooms, 100-count linen, Kama Ayurveda products, and a spacious balcony overlooking nature. Meanwhile, the Villa, a 464 sqm haven, offers elegant balconies, a private dining area, and a refreshing pool, accommodating up to six people. During my stay, I cherished countless moments on the spacious balcony, engrossed in captivating reads while basking in the tranquil embrace of nature’s beauty. The room itself was tastefully decorated with a colonial charm about it, featuring thoughtful details like beautiful stationery, a gorgeous bathtub overlooking the lake and a French Press Coffee maker. These small touches added to the delightful experience, allowing me to truly unwind and indulge in blissful solitude.
Food and Drink Indulging in a sumptuous picnic spread during the safari and relishing a hearty Rajasthani thali for lunch, I savoured a consistently delightful culinary experience throughout my stay. The pinnacle of this gastronomic journey was the property’s rendition of Junglee Maas, a dish whose exquisite flavours till date linger on my palate. The thoughtful staff extended their kindness by sending me home with heavenly dal kachoris in charming boxes. Commencing each day with an elegantly presented plate of fresh fruits and a comforting cup of tea elevated my mornings to a refined and satisfying start.
Leisure My preferred leisure pursuit at the hotel undoubtedly was the Wildlife Safari. The nocturnal adventure unfolded with the chill of the night air gently caressing my cheeks and hair as our 4×4 jeeps navigated the landscape in search of elusive leopards. This exhilarating experience, set against the backdrop of the tranquil night, has etched itself into my memory forever. Remarkably, on the very first day of the safari, fortune favoured us, revealing the enchanting sight of a mother leopard accompanied by her two adorable cubs. The sheer thrill of this encounter marked a moment of wildlife splendor that will resonate with me throughout my life. Amidst the natural splendour of Menar Lake, Birdwatching at Chunda Shikar Oudi offered a tranquil retreat, where native trees like Palash, Godal, and Banyan created an avian haven. Vibrant sightings of red-vented Bulbul, Indian peacock, and cormorants painted a vivid picture of Udaipur’s diverse birdlife. The Boating/Fishing activities provided a serene interlude, with calm boat rides and angling adding to the memorable exploration of nature’s wonders at this Udaipur retreat.
