Minor Hotels has announced that it will be taking over management of the Mövenpick Hotel Deira in Dubai from July 1.
As part of the change, the 216-room property will be rebranded as the Avani Deira Dubai Hotel – the first Avani-branded property in the Middle East.
“This key acquisition to our portfolio allows Minor Hotels to take a strategic foothold in the Middle East for our fast expanding Avani Hotels & Resorts brand in what is a vitally important market,” said Robert Kunkler, chief operating officer of Minor Hotels.
The exterior of Avani Deira Dubai Hotel will be unchanged from the existing Mövenpick Hotel Deira
Situated just four kilometres from Dubai International Airport, the property is located close to several shopping malls and the Dubai Metro, which offers easy connectivity to the downtown area, Jumeirah Beach and Dubai Marina.
When open, Avani Deira Dubai Hotel will offer two F&B outlets, several meeting rooms, an outdoor pool and a fully equipped fitness centre. It will extend Minor Hotels’ global presence to 147 hotels in 22 countries.
