Melia Hotels International has announced its first Iran property, to be located within a mixed use development overlooking the Caspian Sea.
The 319-room Gran Melia Ghoo will be the first five-star, internationally branded property in the country, and will feature seven restaurants and bars, over 1,300 sqm of meeting and events space, two swimming pools and spa facilities.
The hotel will be housed within a 130-metre high tower, as part of the ‘Ghoo, Middle East Diamond’ mixed use development in the resort destination of Salman Shahr.
The development will offer residential and retail space, as well as a sports centre.
