Dorsett Hospitality International has soft-opened its newest property. The mid-scale hotel, Dorsett Putrajaya, is located in the heart of Malaysia’s federal administrative capital in Precinct 3 – 25km south of Kuala Lumpur.
Its strategic location places the new property within walking distance of key Malaysian government offices such as Perbadanan Putrajaya, the National Registration Department, Customs Department, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and the Federal Court of Malaysia.
The 218 guestrooms range from 24 sqm (Dorsett Room) to 119 sqm (Minister Suite), and come with a range of in-room amenities, such as complimentary wifi and broadband internet, a 40-inch flatscreen television and iPod docking station. Rain shower facilities are also available in all rooms, with the studio and Minister Suite offering a bathtub as well.

There are three F&B options on site. The View is Dorsett Putrajaya’s all-day dining restaurant and offers gourmet dishes by speciality chef Shamsul Rizal. The Dorsett Café is a casual deli with grab-and-go snacks and beverages, while the Atrium Bar is located on the top floor and overlooks the Putrajaya city skyline.
Recreational facilities at the four-star hotel include the city’s first rooftop infinity pool, a fully equipped gymnasium and spa. All three facilities are located on Level 9.
For meetings and conferences, Dorsett Putrajaya offers a pillarless ballroom that accommodates up to 300 people, and can be divided into two separate meeting spaces. There are also five individual meeting rooms, which can be combined into a large, single unit.
To commemorate the opening of the hotel, Dorsett Putrajaya is offering a special introductory rate of RM255 (US$57) per night in a Dorsett Room, inclusive of buffet breakfast for two at Dorsett Café. The offer is available until March 31.
