United has added two new “bundle” options to its Economy Plus offering, allowing customer to pre-purchase benefits at a reduced price.
Economy Plus Essentials offers an extra piece of standard checked luggage along with the Economy Plus seat, and United says that passengers will save “up to 20 per cent” by purchasing the two as a package.

Note though that you can’t purchase the bundle for one passenger where there are multiple travellers on the same reservation, so it may not, for instance, be of use to groups where some passengers already benefit from lounge access because of their frequent flyer status.
