St Regis Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of its first property in Macau.
The St Regis Macao, Cotai Central will be the brand’s seventh hotel in Greater China, and precedes the unveiling of five new St Regis properties in 2016 in Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, the Maldives, Changsha and Cairo.
Located on the Cotai Strip, the hotel is a 60-minute ferry ride from Hong Kong International Airport, while Macau International Airport and the Taipa Ferry Terminal are around ten minutes away.
The 400-room hotel features guestrooms and suites ranging from 53 up to 477 sqm.
Facilities include The Iridium Spa, located on the 38th floor with panoramic views of the Strip, an outdoor pool with 2,457 sqm of deck space and a 24-hour private butler service.
The St Regis Bar houses a selection of fine wines and spirits, while private event spaces include the Astor Grand Ballroom, which seats 350 guests, five smaller meeting rooms, two boardrooms and a VIP meeting room.
The opening extends Starwood's St Regis portfolio to 36 hotels worldwide, following openings this year in Istanbul, Mumbai and Dubai (See news November 19).
