Worldhotels signs up four Lalit properties

Worldhotels, a collection of 450 five-star properties, has signed up four Indian hotels from the Lalit group.

The deal will allow Worldpoints loyalty programme members to collect PeakPoints in all four properties. Worldhotels launched the points-based programme last year (see news, June 2014).

The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group has 11 hotels in India and is the country's largest privately-owned hotel chain.

Its properties are: The Lalit New Delhi; The Lalit Mumbai; The Lalit Grand Palace Srinagar; The Lalit Golf & Spa Resort Goa; The Lalit Ashok Bangalore; The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace Udaipur; The Lalit Temple View Khajuraho; The Lalit Resort & Spa Bekal (Kerala); The Lalit Jaipur; The Lalit Chandigarh; and The Lalit Great Eastern Kolkata.

Upcoming hotels include The Lalit London in 2016, and properties are scheduled for Ahmedabad, Amritsar and Dehradoon.

In addition, Lalit has a mid-scale brand called The Lalit Traveller. The first two hotels under this brand opened in Jaipur and Khajuraho with 25 more hotels planned in the next five years.

Worldhotels offers 450 hotels in 250 destinations and 65 countries worldwide.
