Accor Hotels has celebrated the launch of its 100th hotel in Indonesia, with the opening of the Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla City Centre.
“This is a milestone achievement for Accor Hotels as the market leader in Indonesia, as it also marks our strategy to accelerate our expansion in East Indonesia,” said Garth Simmons, chief operating officer for Accor Hotels Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.
“Currently Accor Hotels operates three key hotels in South Sulawesi, including ibis budget Makassar Airport, ibis Makassar City Centre and now, the first Novotel in this region.”
Situated just 30 minutes from Sultan Hasanuddin Airport, the upper midscale hotel is located at the city centre of Makassar, close to several tourist attractions including Losari Beach, Fort Rotterdam Museum, Trans Studio Amusement Theme Park and Ratu Indah Mall.
With a total of 330 guestrooms, the accommodations at Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla City Centre also consist of nine executive suites and a presidential suite. Basic room amenities include wifi connectivity, coffee/tea making facilities and work desks.
The hotel is also home to The Square Restaurant, which serves a variety of local and international cuisine. For those seeking to relax and unwind, the Lounge Bar offers a selection of cocktails and wines.
Recreational facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and jogging track. Massage service is also available on request, and there’s a Children’s Club for young ones.
Finally, the hotel offers a number of event spaces, including a ballroom that can accommodate up to 400 guests, along with eight meeting rooms that are fully equipped with audiovisual systems.
To commemorate the opening of Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla City Centre, the hotel is offering an introductory rate of IDR800,000 (US$58) nett per room, per night, inclusive of breakfast for two. The offer is valid until November 30.
