Accor to debut Novotel in Philippines

5 Oct 2015 by Clement Huang

Accor Hotels will debut the Novotel Manila Araneta Centre later this month, bringing its business hotel brand to the Philippines.

The 24-storey hotel will be located within Araneta Centre, the lifestyle hub of Quezon City, and feature 401 guestrooms and suites – the largest on offer in the city to date.

The new property is also located close to Kia Theatre, a 2,500-seat indoor music performance and event space, and Gateway Tower 2, a dedicated facility for information technology, telecoms and business processing-oriented companies within the Araneta Centre that will open in Q1, 2016.

Novotel Manila Araneta Centre is part of a major development plan within Araneta Centre, which is well known for its weekend night markets, food festivals and street performances. The hotel’s opening precedes the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation Leaders Summit to take place in the city next month.

The hotel will feature two dining options. Food Exchange Manila is a 208-seat all-day dining restaurant serving international cuisine with dishes prepared at live cooking stations, while Gourmet Bar by Novotel is the go-to destination for those looking for refreshing signature drinks or freshly brewed coffee.

Recreational facilities will include the hotel’s Balance Wellness Centre that consists of a gym, spa and swimming pool. There is also a designated Gymboree Kids Area on the fifth floor where young guests can explore and learn new things in a fun atmosphere.

Novotel Manila Araneta Centre will also offer a number of event facilities, including a pillarless grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,200 guests, as well as six meeting rooms and a boardroom. For those seeking a tranquil atmosphere, a 2,500 sqm landscaped outdoor garden can be used for cocktail events, weddings and fashion shows.

“We are excited to add Accor Hotels' first Novotel brand in Quezon City, Metro Manila, which aims to bring a more diverse crowd of travellers to the area,” said Patrick Basset, chief operating officer for Accor Hotels Southeast and Northeast Asia.

“Novotel Manila Araneta Centre reflects a more youthful energy, incorporating the new branding of Novotel along with vibrant decor and interiors.”
