Pullman opens new property in Kuala Lumpur

6 Aug 2015 by Clement Huang

Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residence has opened in the heart of the city's Bukit Bintang entertainment and shopping district.

It is within easy reach of several prominent attractions, including Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, the Petronas Twin Towers, and Menara Kuala Lumpur.

Formerly the Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur, the property is set to undergo a full refurbishment of its 445 rooms and 157 serviced apartments over the next two years. The hotel and serviced residence complex will remain operational throughout that time, with renovations designed to avoid guest disruption.

Upon completion, Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre will offer new modern guestrooms and refreshed facilities. These include a fitness centre, kids club, outdoor pool, six dining outlets, plus a 580sqm grand ballroom and 11 meeting rooms.

“We are very excited to add this much-loved hotel to the fast-growing Pullman network,” said Michael Issenberg, chairman and chief executive of Accor Hotels Asia Pacific.

“The number of high-profile hotels that have rebranded to Pullman in recent months including The Park Lane Hong Kong, the former Hilton on the Park in Melbourne and now the Prince in Kuala Lumpur is testament to the brand’s ability to meet the needs of today’s ‘global nomads’.”

The Pullman brand expansion continues elsewhere in Asia-Pacific continues with the signing of the 325-room Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit, which is a rebrand of the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok.
