Worldhotels has launched a partnership with its first low-cost carrier, Air Asia.
Members of the carrier's loyalty programme, Air Asia BIG, can now earn frequent flyer points with qualifying stays at any Worldhotels’ properties worldwide. The points can then be used to redeem flights with Air Asia.
Earn rates start at 700 BIG points per stay, but to commemorate the launch of the partnership Worldhotels will offer double points (starting at 1,400 points) for all bookings made through to October 12.
The independent hotel alliance now boasts a portfolio of 25 supported frequent flyer programmes, including those of Cathay Pacific, Asiana and Singapore Airlines.
“This alliance will bring great visibility to our global portfolio of hotels and allow us to offer additional rewards to guests and the travel community,” said Roland Jegge, Worldhotels executive vice president Asia-Pacific.
