Manchester and London Stansted airports have both unveiled enhancements to their airside catering.
Manchester airport has opened The Lion and Antelope, an eatery styled as a traditional pub, and Pork & Pickle, serving pastries, delicacies and bread.
Both are located in Terminal 3, where they have replaced Bar 08 in the centre of the departure lounge.
Beth Brewster, Manchester Airports Group's retail director, said: "We're delighted to officially open these brand new food and beverage facilities as part of the ongoing development of Terminal 3."
London Stansted, meanwhile, is midway through an £80 million refurbishment of its departure lounge.
Earlier this month, it opened a new £2.7 million Wetherspoons pub, Coast to Coast. Forthcoming are healthy fast food restaurants Itsu and Leon, a Pret-a-Manger sandwich eatery and a Harris+Hoole coffee shop.
The airport will also introduce the first airside James Martin Kitchen, a premium bakery.
Ryanair recently announced it will launch two new routes and increase frequency on 23 others from London Stansted this winter (see news, March 12).
