ANA adds regional travel classes

4 Feb 2015 by GrahamSmith

ANA is "targetting" business travellers by adding premium economy onto its services to Singapore, Bangkok and Jakarta.

Next month, the Japanese carrier will also upgrade business class on all three routes and add first class between Tokyo Narita and Singapore.

ANA currently has a premium economy cabin on flights to Europe and North America.

Its premium economy seat has a 38-inch seat pitch and is 19.3 inches wide with leg rest, foot rest, universal PC power port, USB port and LCD monitor.

Business class passengers in the region will benefit from a wider range of on-board food, including a specially-created "The Connoisseurs" menu developed in collaboration with top hotel chefs.

The business class offering for the regional flights is consistent with ANA's long-haul services to Europe and North America.

A statement said: "ANA is targetting the high volume of business travellers flying between these destinations and the rising demand from international passengers connecting to the wider south-east Asian and North American ANA network."

Later this month, ANA is introducing a new in-flight entertainment system that will have 351 channels, including 51 movie channels, and programmes in 13 languages (see news, January 16).
