China Eastern Airlines, member of the SkyTeam alliance, will push forward the deployment of its brand-new Boeing B777-300ER aircraft on the Shanghai (Pu Dong) – Los Angeles (LAX) route.
Originally slated to commence February 1, the Shanghai-based carrier will start flying the B777 to California from January 15 instead, based on the latest schedule update.
The airline’s B777-300ER aircraft has been configured to offer three different cabins. Passengers will find six first class suites, 52 business class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, and 258 economy seats positioned in a 3-4-3 layout.
Outbound MU583 will depart Shanghai every day at 1300 to arrive in LAX the same morning at 0905. Inbound MU584 will depart LAX at 1130 to touch back down in Pu Dong at 1730 the following day.
China Eastern has a total of 19 B777-300ER on order from Boeing.
As reported previously by Business Traveller Asia-Pacific (see here), it recently unveiled a new livery design – the first in 25 years.
