2 Dec 2014 by Tamsin Cocks

New low-cost carrier (LCC) V Air will start operations on December 17 with a daily Airbus A321 service from Taipei to Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport.

The budget unit of Taiwan’s TransAsia Airways will also launch a Taipei – Chiang Mai A321 service from January 7. According to the airline, the new service will initially “run every four days”, before going four-weekly from March 29.

Reservations for both flights opened today. V Air will offer three different fare types, depending on luggage allowance, meal service and seating preference.
