Garuda Indonesia (GA) will add a tenth daily flight from its base in Jakarta to Singapore from December 3, making it the most frequent carrier on this route.
As a result, the airline will also begin offering a preferred baggage handling service, plus a dedicated belt for passengers arriving from Singapore at Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.
In addition, passengers flying from Singapore that are travelling onwards to domestic destinations with a transit time of three hours or more will be afforded entry into the Emerald Sky Lounge regardless of their travelling class.
“The [Jakarta–Singapore] route is one the most important in our network which is why we are investing further to offer passengers unparalleled comfort and convenience when travelling with us,” said Sentot Mujino, vice president, region Southeast Asia, Garuda Indonesia.
The flag carrier of Indonesia currently serves Jakarta–Singapore with a mixed fleet of Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A320-200 aircraft. The new return service will be served by the B737 model.
Flight GA846 will depart Jakarta at 0940 and arrive in Singapore at 1230. The return leg will see flight GA847 depart Singapore’s Changi Airport at 1405 and touch back down in Soekarno-Hatta Airport at 1500.
To celebrate the launch of the tenth flight on the Jakarta–Singapore route, GA is offering bonus miles to its GarudaMiles members for any flight within its network. First and business class passengers will earn triple miles, while economy class passengers will also receive a double miles bonus.
