Tune Hotels will open a property in Newcastle next month.
The 104-room Tune Hotel Newcastle will be the budget hotel group's sixth property in the UK — it already has four London hotels and one in Edinburgh. A fifth London hotel in Canary Wharf is scheduled to open later this year.
Located in the listed Proctor House and 600 metres from Newcastle Central railway station, the hotel will open its doors on October 15.
In line with the group's no frills concept, guests benefit from a good quality bed and shower, with optional facilities including towels and toiletries, hairdryer, in-room safe and TV and wifi access all available at a charge.
Mark Lankester, group CEO of Tune Hotels, said: "Newcastle is a vibrant city and full of eclectic people and places, perfect for Tune Hotels' newest location."
Tune Hotels opened its Edinburgh property at the beginning of last year (see news, January 2013).
