Air France and Alitalia have expanded their codeshare agreement to include the majority of the latter's routes to North America.
The French carrier's flight code has now been added to Alitalia's routes from Rome to Boston; Chicago; Los Angeles; Miami and Toronto.
The expansion came into effect yesterday, reports airlineroute.net.
Alitalia last month signed a deal with Etihad for the Gulf carrier to take a 49 per cent stake in the struggling Italian airline (see news, August 8).
