Hyatt unveils its first New York property under the Park Hyatt branding this week, located at 153 West 57th Street in Midtown Manhattan.
Business Traveller had an exclusive hard hat tour of the hotel earlier this year (see news April 2), which occupies floors one to 25 of the 90-storey One 57 building.
Facilites include 210 rooms (92 of which are suites), a 450-capacity ballroom, a bar overlooking Carnegie Hall, and American grill restaurant The Back Room at One 57.
There is also a triple-height space (referred to by the hotel as an “aerie”) featuring an indoor swimming pool with underwater speakers, through which will be piped a classical music soundtrack created by Carnegie Hall.
The hotel also features 350 original pieces of artwork, ten of which have been specifically commissioned for the property, including Propeller Diptych (pictured below) by New York-based artist Rob Fischer.
Park Hyatt New York joins several existing Hyatt brands in central New York, including the Grand Hyatt New York, Andaz 5th Avenue, Andaz Wall Street, Hyatt 48 Lex, Hyatt Place New York Midtown South, Hyatt Times Square New York, Hyatt Herald Square New York, and Hyatt Union Square New York.
