JAL adds new reservation service on website

Japan Airlines (JAL) has introduced a new “hotel, cars and more” section to its overseas website (jal.com), which is available in 26 regions. 

Partnering with Hotels.com, Booking.com, Agoda, JAL Hotels, Times Car Rental and Hato Bus, users can now book a hotel room or rent a car in 47 Japanese cities, including Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima and Nagoya.

The process is fairly straightforward; to make a hotel reservation, users are required to specify check-in date, length of stay, room type, budget, number of stars and city.  After the search results have been displayed, users simply click the “reservation” button displayed to choose a hotel and will be directed to the partner website to continue the booking.

Similarly, for renting a car or a tour bus, users simply click the icon and will be directed to a partner website.

JAL Mileage Bank members can accumulate miles on each successful booking.

The airline plans to increase the number of partnerships to provide more choice on hotels and car rental for visitors staying in Japan.
