Hilton Worldwide partners with Garuda

24 Jun 2014 by Clement Huang

Hilton Worldwide has partnered with Garuda Indonesia to give travellers more ways to earn rewards.

Members of both GarudaMiles and Hilton HHonors loyalty programs will be able to earn points and miles whenever they stay at one of the 4,100 hotels within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.

"Indonesia is a key, growing market within Asia, and we are continuously looking for new ways to reward the increasing number of Hilton HHonors members that travel to the region," said Mark Weinstein, vice president of commercial services strategy, loyalty programs and partnerships. “Aligning with Garuda Indonesia offers members more options to earn points and airline miles that can be used to create memorable travel experiences."

With immediate effect, members of both loyalty programs can earn 10 HHonor points, plus one GarudaMiles mile for every US dollar spent during their stay at any Hilton Worldwide property.

Stays at the select-service brand, Hampton Inn, as well as the company’s extended stay Homewood Suites and Home2 Suites properties will only be eligible to earn up to 100 GarudaMiles miles.

"We are delighted to align ourselves with Hilton HHonors, a leader of hotel guest loyalty programs across the globe," said Amelia Nasution – vice president for customer relationship management, Garuda Indonesia. "Through this partnership we are giving our valued members even more ways to enjoy their travel experience, either in the air or on the ground."
