Etihad Airways has opened its new first and business class lounge at Sydney's Kingsford Smith International Airport.
The facility, which is the airline's first lounge in Australia, is located in the international terminal's Pier C, adjacent to Gate 51.
It is open to all Etihad Airways Diamond first class and Pearl business class customers, as well as qualifying members of the Etihad Guest loyalty programme.

Virgin Australia's Velocity frequent flyer Gold and Platinum members and Virgin Australia business class guests flying to Abu Dhabi are also eligible to access the lounge pre-flight.
Qualifying guests of other codeshare and partner airlines may also use the lounge when flying on Etihad Airways or Virgin Australia-operated Sydney to Abu Dhabi services.
Featuring a design heavily-inspired by Etihad's flagship lounges in Abu Dhabi, the lounge is split over two levels and occupies an area of 798 sqm.
Facilities include a business centre equipped with Apple computers, wifi connectivity, USB charging outlets, shower suites, a children's play room, prayer rooms and a relaxation zone.

In addition, food and beverage service includes a choice of either restaurant-style á la carte dining or buffet. Local Australian wines are also available, and these complement alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including beers, champagne, aperitifs, spirits and liqueurs.
Etihad Airways currently serves Sydney with daily flights, but most are operated by Virgin Australia, of which the Gulf carrier is a shareholder. The two airlines maintain a codeshare partnership.
