British Airways is adding two weekly services to its London Heathrow to Newcastle route from June 2.
The airline will deploy an A320 on the extra return flights, which will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The move brings the total number of flights on the route to 41 each week.
On Mondays and Wednesdays, outbound service BA1322 departs LHR at 0840 and arrives in Newcastle at 0950, while return flight BA1323 takes off from Newcastle at 1705 and lands at Heathrow at 1815.
Richard Tams, BA's head of United Kingdom and Ireland sales and marketing, said: "Our route between London and Newcastle is at the very heart of our domestic network.
"The number of flights on offer means customers can connect through London to our entire network of destinations, offering great opportunities for both leisure and business travellers."
BA yesterday announced that it will run six additional weekly flights from Heathrow to Vienna from October 26 (see news, May 12).
