British Airways is adding two weekly services to its London Heathrow to Newcastle route from June 2.
The airline will deploy an A320 on the extra return flights, which will operate on Mondays and Wednesdays.
The move brings the total number of flights on the route to 41 each week.
Richard Tams, BA’s head of United Kingdom and Ireland sales and marketing, said: “Our route between London and Newcastle is at the very heart of our domestic network.
“The number of flights on offer means customers can connect through London to our entire network of destinations, offering great opportunities for both leisure and business travellers.”
