Hilton Worldwide has signed a management contract with PT. Putragaya Wahana to open a Waldorf Astoria property in Jakarta.

Scheduled for a 2018 opening, Waldorf Astoria Jakarta will be the brand’s second property in Indonesia after Waldorf Astoria Bali opens 2017.

“Waldorf Astoria has become the luxury hotel brand for defining unforgettable experiences for discerning travellers. Guests of Waldorf Astoria Jakarta can expect to receive True Waldorf Service resulting in a truly luxurious experience,” said John Vanderslice, global head, luxury brands, Hilton Worldwide.

The new hotel will be situated along Jalan M.H. Thamrin road within the Central Business District (CBD), where government offices, embassies and multinational corporations are located. It is approximately 32km from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Waldorf Astoria Jakarta is set to be the tallest hotel in the city and will be housed within a 74-storey mixed-use development. The hotel will offer 181 guestrooms and suites that measure 60 sqm and up. There will be four F&B outlets including the brand’s signature Peacock Alley lobby lounge, an all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant and destination bar.

The hotel will also be home to several event spaces, including a 2,000 sqm ballroom, several meeting rooms and a business centre. Recreational facilities include an outdoor pool, health club and spa, as well as a library lounge.
