Malaysia Airlines is encouraging passengers departing from its base at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to self check-in at its new MHkiosk facility.
The airline introduced the tablet-based platform last December and more than 15,000 passengers have since used the check-in facility. To meet demand, 10 new units have been added to the 36 existing kiosks at the departure hall.
“The MHkiosk installed at the Departure Hall between Door 1 and 3 is one of MAS’ initiatives which offer hassle-free and faster check-in process. This will ensure a better travelling and on-ground service experience for our guests,” said the airline’s director of customer services Dato’ Mohd Salleh Ahmad Tabrani.
While the facility is open to most MAS passengers departing from Kuala Lumpur, customers with manual or stand-by tickets, those who require special service assistance, group bookings for nine or more passengers, as well as those travelling to destinations in the US must still go through the conventional checking-in process.
