19 Feb 2014 by Clement Huang

Langham Hospitality Group has announced the opening of its ninth property in China – Langham Place, Xiamen. The hotel also represents the third Langham property on the mainland to open in the last three months, following Guangzhou (see here) and Ningbo (see here).

Located on Xianyue Road, Langham Place, Xiamen sits within a 15 to 20 minutes drive from important facilities such as Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport, Xiamen Conference and Exhibition Centre, Software Park and the main railway station.

The hotel offers 327 guestrooms and suites designed by Leo Design Company, with its interiors featuring naturally textured fabrics, light fittings as well as carefully selected art pieces, which help to create a highly distinct ambience.

Room amenities include a personalised pillow menu and a "Dream" themed turndown service inspired by the local culture. Also included on the top two floors are the Club L guestrooms, which allow residing guests to use the club lounge for its complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails and the use of the boardroom.

There are four dining outlets available. The Place is the hotel’s all-day restaurant that features an open kitchen concept, and serves buffets and a-la-carte selections. Meanwhile, Ming Court, Langham's signature Chinese restaurant line, finds its way into this new development to offer authentic Cantonese cuisine.

There is also a live-cooking teppanyaki station called T2, which serves up tapas, whisky and sakes, along with the L Bar that features small tasty bites, cocktails and fine wines.

Finally, in terms of facilities, there is a branch of the renowned Chuan Spa collection to offer a number of wellness and rejuvenating treatments based on the use of the five elemental forces of fire, earth, water, metal and wood. There is also a fitness centre, as well as an indoor heated swimming pool equipped with an underwater sound system.
