Pan Pacific Hotel Group has expanded its portfolio to 38 Pan Pacific and Park Royal properties worldwide with the signing of four management contracts in Australia, China and Myanmar.
First on the list is Park Royal Melbourne, which will be the fourth Park Royal-branded hotel in Australia and the second in Melbourne. Due to open in 2016, the 281-guestroom property is located in the Digital Harbour Precinct of Melbourne Docklands, a waterfront development that is currently part of an ongoing project to renew the city’s central business district.
Meanwhile, the group’s first Park Royal hotel in China – Park Royal Chengdu – will open its doors in 2017. The hotel will be situated along the Sha River, and opposite the University of Electronic Science and Technology. It will feature 360 guestrooms, and offer an all-day restaurant, specialty restaurant, poolside bar, lounge, ballroom and meeting spaces.
Zhuhai will be home to the new 300-room Pan Pacific Zhuhai, which also opens in 2017. Located next to Gongbei Business Circle and the upcoming Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge infrastructure, the new property is strategically located to allow accessibility to tourists commuting using the bridge. In fact, it offers views of the Macau skyline which is only separated by the waterway of Qianshan. Finally, following the success of Park Royal Yangon, the group will open its second hotel in the capital, Naypyidaw, later this year. Park Royal Naypyidaw will feature 180 rooms and comprise an all-day dining restaurant, spa, gym, swimming pool and a range of meeting facilities. The new property will be a welcome addition to the hotel industry in Myanmar, which has long been underdeveloped and increasingly pricey due to the lack of competition.
