Plaza Premium Lounge reopens Vancouver facility

14 Feb 2014 by GrahamSmith

Plaza Premium Lounge has reopened its flagship international departures lounge at Vancouver International Airport following a five-month renovation.

Measuring 625 sqm, the facility is the largest pay-per-use lounge in Canada and can seat about 180 guests.

It is divided into several zones to provide travellers with a "range of different experiences and choices".

Upon entering the main area, guests are greeted by a variety of seating configurations. The lounge area offers comfortable sofa chairs for those travelling alone, along with communal tables for larger parties.

Large windows provide panoramic views of the runway, while computer workstations, free wifi and power sockets are readily available throughout.

There are food stations that serve hot food, coffee and snacks, including the lounge's signature Fish Ball Noodle Soup.

Other features include a private resting area, a VIP room, two shower rooms with full amenities and three nap rooms.

Single lounge visits cost CA$35 (£19.15), inclusive of tax, which allows for two hours lounge use along with access of all food and drink options and shower facilities. Nap rooms are charged separately at a cost of CA$60 (£32.80) for three hours and CA$100 (£55) for six hours.
