United to introduce special edition amenity kits

7 Jan 2014 by Clement Huang

United Airlines will be introducing special edition amenity kits featuring the airline’s ”Flyer Friendly” brand campaign, which it introduced in 2013 to improve the inflight experience.

The new kits are available in business class (branded BusinessFirst) on long-haul international flights departing from the United States.

The collectable tins were commissioned specifically for the brand campaign, and highlight each of United’s eight North American hubs. Each eligible customer will receive one of the eight tin designs.

“These commemorative amenity kits showcase our hub cities and our flyer friendly network connecting customers to points around the globe,” said Tom O'Toole, United’s senior vice president of marketing and loyalty and president of MileagePlus.

The special tins will include all the amenities found in the traditional business class kits, including Philosophy branded skin care products, and will be available until March 1, or while stocks last.

As the collectable kits are only on flights out of the US, customers in business class on US-bound flights will receive the traditional amenity kits.
