Japanese hospitality company Fujita Kanko will add the 30th hotel to its budget brand Washington in Hiroshima, Japan later this month.
Located in the Hatchobori area, Hiroshima Washington Hotel is a three-minute walk from the nearest train station, which connects to attractions such as the A-Bomb Dome and the historic Miyajima Itsukushima shrine.
The hotel will offer 266 guestrooms, all of which provide free wifi. The property also features a female-only floor which is accessed by a special key. Rooms on this level include amenities and décor to meet the specific needs of the fairer sex.
Room sizes are small – as is common in Japan – with a single room measuring 18 sqm, while the Hiroshima room extends to 27 sqm.
A range of restaurants and retail outlets can be found on the first three floors. The hotel also offers a dedicated PC corner, and in-room massage service which is priced at ¥4000 (US$41) per 40-minute session.
