International hotelier Millennium & Copthorne Hotels recently unveiled the M Hotel Chengdu, which is the group's second M Hotel-brand property in Asia following one in Singapore.
Marketed as trendy and convenient accommodation for business travellers, the branch is located in Chengdu Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in the Gaoxin District – a 13-minute drive from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport.

As the fourth biggest city in China, Chengdu is the country’s western centre of logistics, technology, commerce and finance. With over 200 Fortune 500 companies maintaining a presence in the city, it is also one of the fastest developing.
British Airways (see here) and Qatar Airways (see here) have recently launched services to the city, which just became the fifth city in China to allow 72-hour visa free stays for transiting passengers (see here). The property features 196 guestrooms and suites that range from a 35 sqm Superior room to the 235 sqm Presidential suite. The property is Chengdu’s only fully smoke-free hotel.
Executive suite living room
Every room comes with a separate working area, flat screen TV and balcony. Deluxe and ensuite rooms also offer furnished kitchenettes for long-term lease guests. A bilingual customer service centre provides a 24-hour concierge, and two fully equipped conference rooms offer good options for business meetings or corporate events.
M-Café
Other hotel facilities include a gym, indoor pool, squash court, table tennis area, a billiard room, children’s play area, as well as a library with internet connectivity. Finally, M Hotel Chengdu also offers an array of Southeast Asian and international cuisines at M-Café.
