Accor has opened a Pullman hotel in the northeastern Chinese city of Linyi, the first international hotel in the city and the 16th of the group’s upmarket-brand properties in Mainland China.
The Pullman Linyi Lushang has 312 rooms and suites that all have LCD televisions, iPod docking stations, wireless telephones, workstations and free wifi internet access. Executive floor rooms also have Nespresso coffee machines.
A business centre is available with support staff offering computers with high-speed broadband internet, together with copy, print and fax services.
The hotel has an indoor heated swimming pool and 1,000 sqm fitness centre. It also offers the Pullman yoga programme, which provides guests with equipment to exercise in their rooms.
Linyi is located close to China’s east coast about 300km southwest of Qingdao and 600km north of Shanghai. China Eastern flies there from Beijing in an hour, while Shanghai Airlines connects it to Shanghai in 1 hour 35 minutes.
The city has one of the fastest developing wholesale industries in the country with centres there selling small commodities such as clothing, toys, lamps, and items of home décor. It also exports textiles and pharmaceuticals, along with aluminium, and small machinery.
There is a growing timber and furniture production industry, with European companies partnering local firms. Other international firms doing business in Linyi include the home furnishing company Saint Gobain, clothing producer Fuji Knitting Co, and Volvo Group.
