Sun International will open The Maslow hotel in the wealthy Sandton area of Johannesburg on January 7, following a £30 million refurbishment of the former Southern Sun Grayston.

Located close to Nelson Mandela Square, the renovated four-star deluxe property has been renamed after psychologist Abraham Maslow, and will be geared towards the business traveller.

The hotel will feature 281 rooms averaging 32 sqm, free wifi, Lacuna bistro and bar, meeting space for up to 600 people, spa facilities and landscaped gardens with an outdoor swimming pool.

Guests will also benefit from a free shuttle service to Sandton Gautrain station, which links the district to OR Tambo International airport in 12 minutes.
