Emirates enhances chauffeur service at Manchester

12 Oct 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Emirates has enhanced its chauffeur-drive service at Manchester airport, adding a dedicated pick-up point outside Terminal 1.

Previously the carrier’s business and first class chauffeur cars were parked within the terminal’s Arrivals car park, but the new arrangement means passengers will walk “no further than 100 yards to a dedicated parking area located immediately outside the entrance”.

The area has space for up to 52 vehicles, which Emirates says is enough to support an A380 service.

The carrier serves the Manchester-Dubai route three times-daily, with two flights operated by B777-300ER aircraft, and one with an Airbus A380. A recent upgrade of the evening B777 flight to a three-class configuration means that all three flights now offer business and first class (see online news September 3).

Emirates chauffeur-drive service at Manchester is operated by Professional Chauffeur Services, offering a mixture of Mercedes E Class, S Class and Viano vehicles.
