Emirates upgrades Manchester and Newcastle services

3 Sep 2012 by BusinessTraveller

Emirates has upgraded the aircraft serving its Newcastle and Manchester routes.

The daily Newcastle-Dubai route is now being served with a two-class B777-300ER, replacing the previous A330 aircraft.

It’s the longest aircraft to serve Newcastle airport, and with 428 seats will increase Emirates’ capacity on the route by over 50 per cent. Passengers will also benefit from an upgraded IFE system, offering 600 AVOD channels.

The move coincides with the carrier’s fifth anniversary of operations at Newcastle.

Meanwhile Emirates has also added a three-class B777-300ER aircraft to its evening service out of Manchester.

It means that all of the carrier’s Manchester services now offer first class, with a three-class B777-300ER operating on the morning flight, and the A380 superjumbo serving the lunchtime departure.
