9 Jun 2011 by BusinessTraveller

The latest property by luxury hotel chain Mandarin Oriental will open in the French capital's first arrondissement at the end of this month.

The 138-room Mandarin Oriental, Paris is located on Rue Saint Honoré, close to Jardin des Tuileries and the Louvre, and features the building's original Art Deco facade.

Facilities include an oriental-inspired indoor garden, gourmet restaurant Sur Mesure par Thierry Marx, and all day dining Camelia and Bar 8, both of which offer seating in the garden. There is also a Garden Table for up to eight guests.

Mandarin Oriental's signature spa experience will be one of the largest in the city at 900sqm, and will feature seven private suites equipped for hydrotherapy and heat treatments, as well as an indoor pool and fitness centre.

The group has launched an opening “J'aime Paris” offer for stays between July 17 and August 28, with rates from £678 per night including a £265 credit redeemable against the hotel's spa facilities or restaurants.

Mandarin Oriental recently opened Dinner by Heston Blumenthal at its Hyde Park property in London (see online news February 2), but also announced that it has withdrawn from the management contract of a luxury property in Marrakech, which will now be operated by Taj Hotels (see online news June 1).
