Marriott is offering all Marriott Rewards members quadruple miles with participating airlines for stays at Marriott properties. Under this scheme, members can now earn up to 8 miles for each dollar spent on qualifying charges and the room rate, depending on the airline and the Marriott brand.
The promotion runs from June 1 to August 31, 2011 and members must register online. Guests can only start earning from the second stay onwards within the time frame and there is no limit to the number of stays under this promotion during the mentioned period. Stays at the Ritz-Carlton are also included.
The following airlines have signed up for the programme: Aeroplan, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiin Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Jet Airways, Kingfisher Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines and US Airways.
Marriott Reward members normally earn up to two air miles for each US$1 spent on room rates, although earning rates differ for each airline and two miles per US$1 spent on qualifying charges billed to the room, such as meals or phone calls. At certain brands, members only earn one mile for each dollar spent on room rates.
