High-speed rail service Eurostar is giving away free tickets for passengers coming up with the “lamest excuse” for wanting to visit a city served by the operator.
The social media campaign encourages people to upload videos of themselves detailing their lame excuses, which are then voted for by other users.
The campaign runs for 12 weeks, with a fortnightly prize of a pair of return tickets to a Eurostar destination of choice for entrants with the most votes.
The six winners will then be entered into an “Ultimate Winner” prize draw, where they will be asked to submit a further video of their travels, along with an “exploration” story, for the chance to win 12 pairs of return tickets to any Eurostar destination in Europe.
