Lufthansa is increasing the use of its Airbus A380 on its daily Frankfurt-Beijing service to three times a week from November 20, 2010.
Lufthansa will now utilise the superjumbo aircraft on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from Frankfurt. The return leg will depart from Beijing on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Timings have yet to be confirmed.
The Boeing B747 will continue to be used on the remaining days of the week.
The airline is aiming to use the A380 daily on the route, negotiating with Chinese authorities for this purpose. Currently, it also flies the behemouth daily to Tokyo and twice a week to Johannesburg.
