Luxury hotel group Kempinski has opened a property in the Thai capital of Bangkok, located next to the Siam Paragon shopping mall.
The Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok has 303 rooms all with views of the tropical landscaped gardens and three saltwater pools. The property also features “hundreds” of commissioned pieces of Thai artwork, and a 14-metre marble lobby with two spiral staircases and a lotus fountain.
Facilities include fine dining Brasserie Europa restaurant and 1897 whisky bar (the date signifying the year when Kempinski was established in Berlin). A second fine dining Thai restaurant (Sra Bua) and spa facilities are due to open in a few week’s time.
The hotel is situated next to the Siam Paragon shopping and lifestyle mall, one of the largest of its kind in Asia and featuring restaurants, a 15-screen cinema, bowling alley, karaoke centre, aquarium, exhibition hall, concert hall and art gallery.
