Etihad Airways has installed 10 self-service kiosks at Terminal 3 of Abu Dhabi International Airport, an effort to further improve its customer ground services. Earlier, the airline installed similar equipment in Terminal 1.
To use the machines, Etihad passengers key in their booking reference or e-ticket number, scan their passport or insert their Etihad Guest card. Once done, they can choose their seat and print their boarding pass and baggage tags. At T3, eight self-service kiosks are located in the Economy check-in area and the other two are in the Premium check-in area.
T3 serves Etihad passengers bound for Bangkok, Brisbane, Brussels, Doha, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Heathrow, Manila, Melbourne and Tokyo among others.
"The kiosks are conveniently placed throughout the Etihad terminal and will enable customers, especially those travelling on short-haul flights to save time on their journey and allow them to relax in our lounge or visit the shops and restaurants located at the airport airside," said Peter Baumgartner, airline's chief commercial officer.
